CHER is an engineering research lab group based at the University of Hawaii at Manoa in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA.
Our Work
We specialize in the planning and design of coastal and waterway infrastructure, as well as advancing innovative technologies for shoreline and waterway protection. Our efforts support communities in preparing for, responding to, and recovering from natural disasters. We develop flood hazard products, predictive tools, integrative data services, and geospatial products—leveraging computational, laboratory, and in situ methods to deliver science-based, actionable solutions.
Where We Are
We are in the Hydraulics Lab located at Holmes Hall 142 on the University of Hawaii at Manoa campus. The space supports teaching and research. We have laboratory facilities and field equipment for rent for a nominal fee. Proceeds go towards upkeep and maintenance of the Hydraulics Lab and its equipment. Please contact us for more information and to set up an appointment and reserve equipment.
